VAT is charged at the standard rate on all items except fruit trees and plants which are Zero Rated. Prices quoted are generally net of VAT.

Until payment has been made in full to Winrow Nurseries/EJ Godwin (Peat Industries) Ltd by cash or cleared funds, goods supplied by Winrow Nurseries shall remain the property of Winrow Nurseries.

For non-credit account customers, payment for orders must be made on collection or prior to delivery. Credit Account customers should pay within 30 days of receipt of their invoice.

In the event that a delivery is not paid for in advance, Winrow Nurseries reserves the right not to deliver those goods and to charge an additional re-delivery charge of 10% of the value of the order.

In the event of abnormal conditions which make it impossible to carry out a normal delivery, Winrow Nurseries reserves the right to cancel any delivery without notice or incurring any liability.

Due to phyto-sanitary risks, we are unable to accept plants back onto the site, except under certain conditions to be agreed by the Manager.

All plants are checked prior to delivery and (to the best of our knowledge) are delivered in good health. Once the plants have been accepted and signed for, Winrow Nurseries accepts no responsibility or liability for any subsequent infection or symptoms that develop on the plants or any issues arising from the plants.

Cancellation or postponement of deliveries within 2 working days of the dispatch date will be subject to a cancellation fee of 10% of the value of the order to enable Winrow Nurseries to recoup the losses incurred, without prejudice or requirement of the seller to prove any loss incurred.

Changes made to an order within 2 working days of collection or dispatch date will be subject to additional handling fees of 10% of the order value, at the discretion of the Manager.

We deliver up to 150 miles from the nursery. Deliveries over £300 (before VAT) within a 25 mile radius of the nursery or over £500 (before VAT) beyond a 25 mile radius of the nursery will free of charge, otherwise there will be a delivery charge as quoted at the time of placing the order. Deliveries below the minimum for free delivery will be undertaken at the manager's discretion.

Credit notes are valid for one calendar year from the date of issue.

We reserve the right to charge interest on all overdue accounts at the rate of 2% per calendar month.

Winrow Nurseries shall be entitled to repossess any goods that remain the property of Winrow Nurseries or the proceeds of sale of such goods in the purchaser’s hands or the hands of any liquidator or receiver.

Risk in the goods shall pass to the purchaser on delivery and any liability to third parties arising in respect thereof after delivery shall be for the purchaser’s account.

Standard deliveries are made on a Luton Van with tail lift. No fork lift is required but help should be made available by the purchaser for unloading. Where delivery is on Danish Trolleys, these should be swapped with good condition, green tagged trolleys or the purchaser should assist the driver in unloading so Winrow Nurseries trolleys are returned.

It is a condition of sale that all claims for damages or short deliveries are recorded on the Delivery Note at the time of delivery, and that we are informed within SEVEN DAYS of that delivery.

Visits to the Nursery should be by prior appointment made at the Winrow Nurseries office.

Children must be strictly supervised by a parent or guardian and the responsibility for their care is entirely by the adult bringing them on to the nursery.

Dogs should be kept in vehicles or on a short lead and any fouling must be cleared up straight away.

All visitors should call in at the office on arrival and all vehicles will be checked on leaving the nursery.
